In a Collaborative Science for Estuaries webinar hosted on February 28, 2018, Dwayne Porter, Director of the NERRS Centralized Data Management Office and a Science Collaborative team member, discussed the role of environmental monitoring and data management in supporting sound science for improved decision making in the NERRS. The webinar covered why environmental data management is important and outlined the role it plays in the NERRS System-wide Monitoring Program (SWMP), a monitoring program conducted at all 29 reserves.
