This document provides guidance on the use of thin-layer sediment placement (TLP) as a tool for tidal marsh resilience in the face of sea-level rise.

Factsheet |

This summary brochure describes thin-layer placement (TLP) as a strategy for marsh resilience, and National Estuarine Research Reserve System research and recommendations for TLP use.

Report |

This collection of reports summarizes Surface Elevation Table (SET) data at fiften reserves. A technical report analyzing of surface elevation change and a summary for oureach purposes is provided for each reserve.

Journal Article |

This paper, published in International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation, describes results of three different mangrove mapping methods to evaluate the impacts of Hurricane Irma, a Category 3 storm that affected southwest Florida in September of 2017. The approach was tested on a very high resolution WorldView-2 satellite image.

Webinar Summary |

This resource contains the presenter slides, Q&A responses, recording, and presenter bios from the February 2020 webinar Resilience Dialogues: Strategies for Conflict Management in Collaborative Science.

Multimedia |

This webinar was originally presented on February 20, 2020 as part of the Restoration Webinar Series, hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's National Conservation Training Center. Presenters: Kerstin Wasson, Beth Watson, and Kenny Raposa

Webinar Summary |

This resource contains the presenter slides, Q&A responses, recording, and presenter bios from the July 2019 webinar Mapping the Effects of Long-term Hydrologic Stress, Sea-level Rise, and Hurricane Irma on Coastal Habitats.

Webinar Summary |

This resource contains the presenter slides, Q&A responses, recording, and presenter bios from the June 2019 webinar Exploring Applications of Ecosystem Service Conceptual Models for Coastal Habitats.

Project Overview |

This project overview describes a project led by Elkorn Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve to communicate the results of a recent national synthesis of NERR Sentinel Site data on marsh resilience to sea level rise.

Tool |

This document provides guidance to those wishing to use the Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment Tool for Coastal Habitats ("CCVATCH") - a decision support tool which guides users through a series of questions to calculate numerical climate vulnerability scores for ecological habitats.
